I would like to start off with the fact that PRAYER is rarely approached with the understanding of who we are conversing with. When we are praying to God we are talking with the best of the best, the biggest of the biggest, the one who doesn’t have to watch His back for any reason. God is the most powerful being ever. He sets aside His attention to focus on us as we speak.
When queen Esther was encouraged to approach king Ahasuerus concerning the salvation of her people, the Jews, she knew that it was a death sentence if the king, her husband, didn’t raise his golden scepter to invite her into his presence. (Esther 4:11) King Ahasuerus has nothing on the kingship of God.
God doesn’t get mad when we ask Him a question.
James 1:5 NKJV
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
God wants to have conversation with His creation.
Jeremiah 29:12-13 NKJV
12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
God hears our prayers.
Psalm 66:17-20 AMPC
17 I cried aloud to Him; He was extolled and high praise was under my tongue.
18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me;
19 But certainly God has heard me; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.
20 Blessed be God, Who has not rejected my prayer nor removed His mercy and loving-kindness from being [as it always is] with me.
God answers our prayers.
1 John 5:14-15 NKJV
14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
We need to stay connected with God at all times if we want to prosper
John 15:4-5 NKJV
4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
